The mission of Walker Community Care is to provide a vital safety net for the residents of Walker County and the surrounding communities by subsidizing the cost of in-home care. We are dedicated to bridging the financial gap for those underserved by traditional coverage, ensuring that every individual has access to the compassionate support they need to maintain their dignity and independence at home.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Walker Community Care bridges the financial gap for seniors requiring in-home care. Many of our clients have worked hard their entire lives and successfully built a retirement savings, only to find that the cost of comprehensive care outpaces their budget. We are proud to provide the supplemental financial assistance needed to ensure these dedicated individuals can afford the high-quality, in-home support they deserve.

Walker Community Care offers financial assistance covering up to 50% of the cost of services from your chosen in-home care agency. This program is specifically designed to support individuals who "fall through the cracks" of traditional financial aid, meaning their income disqualifies them from Medicaid assistance, yet they lack the sufficient resources to fully cover the cost of necessary care.
All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure support is directed where it is needed most.
